Sentinel AI Analyst now closes 96% of tier-1 alerts autonomously across the Guardian fleet

Twelve months after general availability, Guardian's reasoning engine is resolving the overwhelming majority of first-line security alerts without human involvement — while median containment time across all customers fell to 8.4 seconds.

The figures come from anonymised production telemetry covering 6,800 organisations in 142 countries. Guardian is publishing the underlying methodology alongside the announcement, including how autonomous closures are audited, how false-positive rates are calculated, and the conditions under which the platform escalates to a human rather than acting.

Independent evaluation

Adversary emulation results, published in full

Meridian Test Labs ran a 21-day adversary emulation against a Guardian Sentinel deployment in March 2026, replaying the full technique chain of three tracked groups across 640 endpoints, two cloud accounts and a directory service.

Guardian did not select the techniques, did not receive advance notice of the schedule, and has published the complete result set — including the four techniques where detection required a configuration change and the two where a telemetry gap was confirmed. The raw evaluation data is available to journalists and prospective customers on request.

  • 97.8% mean technique detection across twelve tactics
  • Zero configuration changes permitted during the run
  • Full result set, including gaps, published within 14 days
